Management and Operation: Means to practice tourism activity that is related to the management and operation of hotel establishments.
Conditions required to license the activity of managing and operating hotels:

A copy of the owner's passports and national identity card.

Administration offices with a three-month valid lease contract shall be presented provided that no other trade license shall be practiced in the same location.

CVs of a proper number of qualified administrators and employees including the finance manager, legal advisor, and the director general shall be provided as per ADTA requirements*.

A trade name shall be allocated to the establishment by the Department of Economic Development.

External signboard shall be designed by an approved calligrapher.

A detailed feasibility study for the project shall be submitted.

A bank guarantee of AED 200.000 shall be deposited within 30 days of granting the license and the activity shall be practiced in one year.

Articles of association shall be submitted in case of companies.

A tourism license application shall be typed.

No Objection Letter from Waste Management Center.

Licensing fees shall be AED 2500
*The conditions to be provided in the General Manager:
Five years of work in the field of hotel, including 3 years as manager of the hotel facility to the holder of Masters in the field of hotel.
Ten years of work in the field of hotel, including 4 years as a manager in a hotel facility to the holder of qualified university.
Ten years of work in the field of hotel, including 7 years as a manager in a hotel facility to eligible holders of at least the university.
*In case of non-availability of a finance manager and/or legal advisor, a document proving that a contract was made with a legal advisor and a chartered auditor shall be submitted.
Obligations of the Owner of the Office:

The name of the office shall be shown in both Arabic and English by hanging a signboard on the entrance of the office.

The office shall be kept clean and tidy and employees shall be dressed appropriately and act in professional manner at all times.

Working hours and holidays, if any, shall be set provided that these shall be put in a visible place in the office.

Circulars and instructions of ADTA shall be observed and implemented.
