In February 2005, the Licensing Department commenced the issuance of tourism licenses for all activities assigned to the Authority and the renewal of old licenses bearing the Authority's activities. The issuance of licenses was done through ADTA website and the three offices: ADTA head office in Abu Dhabi, ADTA office at Abu-Dhabi Municipality, and ADTA office at Al Ain Municipality. The opening of the activities was fully completed and the conditions for such activities were laid down in a simplified way. The Division and its activities were introduced to the tourism sector through different introductory meetings.

The files of the commercial licenses of tourism activities were received from old licensing entities and were maintained at the Authority's head office.

• The regulations of tourism activities were laid down and passed to the tourism sector through introductory forums and circulars which are continuously passed to the tourism sector.
• Liaison with different official entities, which were informed of the role and powers of the Authority, was made in order to build cooperation ties which yield ideal customer service.
• The forms of initial approval application and tourism license were provided to the public through ADTA website http://www.abudhabitourism.ae.
